Baxter, the 3-legged cat

**note:  this entry may or may not be appreciated by those who dislike cats**

Baxter is definitely worthy of a blog entry.  He is very tolerant of the boys and has had to transition from getting all of our attention to being a 3rd class citizen in our household.  It all started the week the boys were born.  While we were in the hospital, he had some sort of fall or got hit by something and his mouth and chin were a bloody mess.  He made awful sounds while breathing and could barely eat or drink.  When we got home with the boys, the only time the poor cat got any attention was when Ronnie had to give him his pain killers and antibiotics.  Well, now he's getting more attention than he probably cares for from a couple little humans that also get around on all fours.   Baxter has had to endure whisker plucking (Edward made sure to do it nice and slow), ear, tail and paw pulling.  I'm happy that he has proven to be good around kids.  Our unofficial 'other' cat, Samson, has also proven to be good around children as you can see here with Ellery and Tilden.
